the ramble box | APRIL 2020

AH! You guys! It seems like it’s been so so long! We haven’t really had a chance to post much about this box, but it was a favorite of ours. This was a record breaking box for us in terms of the number of adult boxes shipped as well as our kid packs we added to the mix. A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who purchased one from us!

As you know, the ramble box is a quarterly subscription box. The kicker about this subscription is that the tee inside is a complete SURPRISE and won't be sold at any other point!! It’s completely exclusive to the box holder.

So here it is, our APRIL BOX!! This was a special box as we included a few extras into this mix as some pick-me-ups as we began to get deep into the throws of Covid. Between feeling extremely grateful for being able to do this work and also suffering from FOMO while being cooped up in the house, we felt like going really big.

Contents of the box:

  • Potter + Clay Stud Earrings

  • Ramble Together Book

  • Sticker

  • Exclusive “Blooming Takes Time” Tee

  • Seed packets from Gilbert Creek Gardens

Behind the Design

Growing takes time. Blooming takes time. The idea of where you want to be in life, it takes time.

As a young adult entering college, I couldn’t wait until I finished all of my classes and walked across the stage to snatch my (2009) idea of a “dream job." Then, I got what was my then idea of my dream job and quickly flipped my life upside down when I decided to quit it and start my own business. I started from the absolute bottom, carrying all the job roles and doing everything alone. All I could think about and hope for was the freedom that one day this adventure would give me to be with my girls more once I would be able to disperse my roles to other employees. But, I had to push through the stages of flying solo that were not fun, but necessary.

As a new mom to our oldest daughter, I would sit and nurse her and impatiently wonder what it would be like to hear her say “mama," walk to me or be able to garden next to me. By the time my youngest came along, I had learned to sit in each moment of infancy with my girls. What the future held, would eventually come, but for now I was soaking in the presence of each day. Now, I am teaching our middle daughter to read and I long for the days she doesn’t fight it but instead learns to love and appreciate the words around us. We're both learning to have patience in the growth, the blooming is happening.

Last week I planted 8 different seeds from new flower stems to kitchen herbs. I show up every day and water them but have not seen much action. I look at the dirt and remind myself that, blooming takes time. Beneath that damp soil, a seed is bursting to life and a delicate yet strong stem is working its way towards the surface. Soon, it will break through. Soon, it will receive the reward for doing the work to grow strong. Soon, it will bloom and blossom and be fully what it is meant to be.

& so the same goes for us.

You can NOW purchase the July Box in Adult and Kids!

Dear Ramble Team,
Thank you. Thank you for all you do!! I opened my Ramble Box yesterday and was blown away by the message, the shirt (the color is officially my all time favorite!), the goodies. The consistent level of extraordinary service Ramble offers is so incredible. Further, I can't wait to plant my seeds -- and I decidedly do not have a green thumb! But this box inspires me, and helps me realize that we are all growing and we are moving forward even when we can't see it happening.

I wore my blooming takes time shirt and my rad new earrings during a zoom meeting for work, drank tea out of my "Today I Choose Joy" mug and I just feel ready for the world, excited to see how far I've come. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Yours truly,
Lupe
